Person shot in Delta in targeted BC Gang Conflict incident

DELTA Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Police say 82 Avenue between 110 Street and 112 Street remains closed due to the investigation.

Investigators believe this shooting was a targeted incident related to the BC Gang Conflict. Suspects have left the area and there is no ongoing risk to the public.

One person has been transported to hospital and is receiving treatment for injuries related to the shooting.

No further information will be released this evening, as the investigation is in its early stages, police say.

The media reported that a vehicle was set on fire in Surrey, apparently the one used by the two suspects who were caught on CCTV as they ran towards the victim and then ran back to their vehicle.
