PICS Society goes International by opening office in Chandigarh, India

SURREY, BC – July 25th, 2013 – Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society opens office in Chandigarh, India to provide pre-departure orientation sessions on settlement in Canada to prospective immigrants.

This location will offer essential information to prospective immigrants so they’re well-prepared before moving to Canada. “Going international is a step that has been in the making for us,” says Charan Gill, CEO of PICS Society. “Providing information to prospective immigrants will ease the process for them once they make the move here. This will give them a head start to settling smoothly in Canada.”

PICS Society is a registered non-profit society, United Way Agency, and PCTIA registered organization that has been serving the community since 1987. They actively promote harmony and intercultural understanding to build a more inclusive and respectful society by providing programs and settlement services that directly assists women, youth, seniors, and new immigrants in the community.
The Chandigarh office will eventually offer full services in language and literacy services, settlement services, employment programs, housing programs, counselling and support services.
