Monday, March 2: HOCKEY: PARENTS AND GREED

The Globe and Mail reported on Sunday that Penticton RCMP will submit a report to Crown counsel and recommend charges for uttering threats against a 52-year-old parent for allegedly confronting a referee outside the arena after a February 20 junior hockey game, screaming abuse and threats at him and punching his vehicle. Meanwhile, eight parents have been banned from watching hockey games by the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association for indulging in verbal abuse and threats against referees. It’s time such action was taken. All this bad / criminal behaviour is a result of nothing but GREED. Parents dream of their kids being hockey stars and earning ridiculously high sums of money. As the Bible says, money is the root of all evil.

Monday, March 2: KICK QUEBEC JUDGE OUT!

In my opinion, Quebec Court Judge Eliana Marengo who so ridiculously told Rania El-Alloul in a Montreal courtroom that she had to remove her hijab or she wouldn’t hear her case against the province’s automobile insurance board that had seized her vehicle, is not fit to be a judge in a multicultural country like Canada. I would suggest she catches a flight to France or wherever else she feels her type of crap will be tolerated. Even Prime Minister Stephen Harper (who himself is being stupid and bigoted by deciding to appeal a court ruling allowing a Muslim woman to wear a niqab while taking the oath of citizenship even though her face could be verified before the oath-taking by a female) spoke out against the judge’s inappropriate decision, with his spokesperson Stephen Lecce stating: “If someone is not covering their face, we believe they should be allowed to testify.” Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and NDP Leader Tom Mulcair also spoke out against it. Some guys started a fundraiser on social media and they got 400 donations and surpassed their goal of $20,000 in just over 24 hours, according to news reports. And the money keeps coming. Hey, guys, buy the judge a one-way ticket out of Canada!
