Richmond pedestrian-motorcycle collision

RICHMOND RCMP are investigating a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian that resulted in serious injuries.

At approximately 4:47 p.m. on September 14, Richmond RCMP frontline officers responded to the 8500-block of Granville Avenue for a collision involving a motorcycle and pedestrian.

The motorcyclist was travelling westbound on the curve from Garden City to Granville Avenue when the collision occurred.

BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) and Richmond-Fire Rescue attended the scene. Both the motorcyclist and pedestrian were transported to a local area hospital by BCAS with significant injuries.

Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) along with the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service attended the scene.

Richmond RCMP CCIT is seeking witnesses or dash cam footage from anyone who may have been in the area of Garden City and Granville Ave between 4:40 p.m. and 4:55 p.m.
