AT approximately 9:40 p.m. on April 13, Richmond RCMP received a report regarding a video involving intimate images, which was allegedly recorded and distributed on the internet without consent.

Richmond RCMP said on Saturday that they are aware this video has been widely viewed and want to assure the public it is a priority investigation and investigators are working aggressively to identify the person or persons involved.

Richmond General Investigation Section has conduct of the investigation with support from Richmond RCMP Cybercrime Unit.

No further information will be released at this time.
