VANCOUVER Police have identified the victim in the city’s third homicide of 2021 as Shania Paulson, 24, who died after being shot inside the Arco Hotel in Downtown Eastside just before 4 a.m. on March 17. 

VPD officers responded to the hotel at Pender and Abbott streets around 4 a.m. on Wednesday and discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to hospital, but later died.

Police continue to investigate the homicide and no arrests have been made.
