SHARNJIT Singh Gill of President and CEO of Surrey-based Verico Superior Mortgage Inc., and his team have been ranked 26th in the Canadian Mortgage Professional’s Top 75 Mortgage Brokers in the country for 2022.

Gill, who has been in the banking and mortgage business for 53 years, has been in the top list consistently for the past 12 years.

The CMP noted: “The Canadian mortgage sector remained productive over this last year, with the same volume of business for many brokers across the country despite the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging COVID-19 variants, and a rollercoaster of lockdowns. Now, Canadian Mortgage Professional (CMP) has identified this year’s top 75 mortgage brokers who stood out for their ability to navigate the sometimes harsh realities of the brokerage world.”
For Gill, navigating those “sometimes harsh realities” has been no big deal because of his well-known professionalism and honest dealings.

“Our team always does what is right for our clients and we add value to our service. Honesty and hard work go a long way in building trust,” says Gill.

And the results speak for themselves.

“We get 85% of our business from the repeat clients,” he notes, adding: “We express our deep gratitude to our incredible clients for their support and trust since 2000.”

Gill began his career in 1969 at UCO Bank in India. In 1995 he relocated his family to Surrey and a year later he joined the Bank of Montreal.
He became sub-mortgage broker in 2001.

One of his team’s member, Sunny Bal, bagged the CMP’s Award Rising Star 2021 at the young age of 23.
