A male, who suffered a gunshot wound on Monday when his truck was hit by several bullets, drove himself to the emergency entrance of Peach Arch Hospital at approximately 8:20 p.m. and walked into the emergency room to be treated.
Surrey RCMP said on Tuesday that when they received a report about the male at the hospital, their investigation led them to the 5300-block of 164th Street in Cloverdale. No other victims were located.
Police are currently on scene as officers conduct neighbourhood canvassing and speak with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages.
Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner told Global BC that the victim was allegedly running a licensed medical marijuana grow-op and was being uncooperative with police.
