ON Sunday (July 29), at approximately 4:35 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the 7800-block of 138th Street in response to a report of shots fired in the area.  Police are on scene and have confirmed that there was a shooting.

RCMP say that though it’s early in the investigation, the incident appears to be targeted with no public safety concern known at this time.

The 7800-block of 138th Street may be subject to road closure while the scene is processed by investigators.
Police say they are currently in the evidence gathering phase and no further information will be provided at this time.
