SURREY RCMP are advising the public of road closures on 96 Avenue between 132 Street and 134 Street as a result of a single vehicle collision.

On Sunday at approximately 1:12 a.m., a Surrey RCMP member witnessed and responded to a single vehicle collision in the 13300-block of 96 Avenue. The vehicle sheared a pole, which resulted in a power outage in the area. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and attempts to locate and identify the driver were unsuccessful.

Police said that 96 Avenue between 132 Street and 134 Street has been closed in both directions to all traffic. Police are requesting people to avoid the area and use alternate routes. It’s not known how long the closures will remain in effect.
