SURREY RCMP on Tuesday confirmed to The VOICE that “a local business owner” had made a report to police when this newspaper asked them about a social media allegation that a police officer who was not a Mountie did not want to pay for merchandise from a South Asian-owned clothing store and allegedly tried to intimidate them.
Sgt. Tammy Lobb said in an email: “Surrey RCMP is aware of a report to police made by a local business owner, but are unable to confirm any specifics. No charges have been recommended in relation to the file you referenced.”
