Surrey Crime Prevention Community Safety Volunteer Awards

SURREY Crime Prevention Society is honouring the outstanding community safety volunteers on Tuesday, June 21 with an awards ceremony in the City of Surrey.  These youth volunteers have donated countless hours towards the enhancement of community safety in the City.

Finalists and winners will be announced throughout the evening and will be presented with their awards from community partners, including Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum and Metro Vancouver Transit Police Chief Dave Jones.

Where: Aria Banquet and Convention Centre, 12350 Pattulo Pl, Surrey

Since 2012, over 3,600 volunteers have contributed over 233,000 hours towards the enhancement of community safety in the City of Surrey.  Through the generous support of community partners, programs continue to offer youth volunteers an opportunity to gain valuable skills and unique experiences to enhance their future career choices.

Many of the youth volunteers are interested in pursuing a career in public service including policing, corrections, sheriffs, CBSA, and more.
