GOING back to school and learning is made a lot easier with Surrey Libraries’ Summer Reading Club. The Summer Reading Club provides many incentives to encourage kids to read all summer. Kids can earn stickers and medals, win prizes, play games and attend special programs.

“Studies show that students who read in the summer do better in school,” says Sara Grant, Manager of Youth Services. “Surrey has the largest Summer Reading Club in the province. We had over 15,000 kids sign up this year and awarded over 4,000 medals. Congratulations to all our Summer Reading Club participants for another great summer of reading.”

Twelve-year-old Rupansh Punia earned his 11th consecutive Summer Reading Club medal.
