Surrey Night Market welcomes Canadian Forces and veterans

NIGHT MARKETTHE organizers of the Surrey Night Market have dedicated the weekend of August 8-9 to the families of the Canadian Forces personnel and veterans living in British Columbia.

“This week marks the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1 and on behalf of the organizers of the Surrey Night Market, we would like to extend an invitation to the families of all Canadian Forces personnel and veterans to visit the Surrey Night Market for free during this weekend” said Satbir Cheema, one of the directors of the Surrey Night Market. “In fact, this invitation is open for the rest of the season up to August 30.  We salute all CF personnel and veterans for the sacrifices made by them to safeguard the freedom and rights enjoyed by all Canadians.”

Launched on July 5, this Night Market in the Fraser Valley is a multicultural family friendly open air summer market for everyone and offers a wide variety of food, special merchandize, awesome entertainment and various rides for children.

Every night, local bands, singers and dancers get an opportunity to perform on the stage for free.  The Surrey Night Market runs every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. and is located at 17726 62 Avenue within the Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds.
