Surrey Police request assistance to locate wanted suspect Adam Thorndyke

SURREY Police Service (SPS) and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in relation to a 2023 investigation.

In March of 2023, Surrey RCMP’s South Community Response Unit initiated an investigation after locating multiple forged documents during a vehicle stop.  A subsequent search warrant was executed at a Surrey residence in which numerous items of evidentiary value were located.

On June 26, 2023, BC Prosecution Service approved 204 fraud-related charges against Adam Thorndyke and two other individuals.  While the others have been located, Thorndyke is still outstanding.

Adam Thorndyke is currently wanted on Canada-wide warrants for:

  • Willfully resist
  • Driving while prohibited
  • Driving while prohibited 102(A) MVA
  • Driving while prohibited 95(1) MVA
  • Deal with identity documents without excuse 56.1(1) – 2 counts
  • Possession of forged documents with intent 368(1)(D) – 4 counts
  • Possession of stolen property 355
  • Breach of a release Order 145(5)A) – 2 counts
  • Possession of stolen property 355 – 36 counts
