SURREY Police Service (SPS) is asking for the public’s help to reunite a found elderly woman with her family.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, SPS Frontline officers responded to a call of an elderly woman who appeared confused and disoriented in the area of 84 Avenue and 140 Street. Officers arrived and despite their best efforts, were unable to determine where the woman lives.

The woman is described as South Asian, possibly between 70 and 85 years old, has grey hair, and speaks only Punjabi. She was wearing a sari and a shawl and had nothing on her that would identify her. (See attached photo)

SPS has not received any reports of a missing person matching her description and is asking for the public’s help to identify her so she can be reunited with her family.

SPS is asking anyone who may know the woman or who may be a family member, to contact 9-1-1 or the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-37169 (SP).
