ON Saturday (April 28), at approximately 8:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP officers located a suspicious package inside a vehicle on King George Boulevard near 102nd Avenue and cordoned off the area for safety.

The occupant of the vehicle would not identify what was in the package. The RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit attended to the scene to examine the suspicious package. They were unable to determine exactly what was in the package, and the package was destroyed on scene as a precaution. The investigation into this mater is continuing.
