Suspect in stabbing in February 15 Bollywood Banquet Hall incident turns himself in (update)


The suspect in this investigation turned himself in to police on Tuesday afternoon. Charges have not been laid as the investigation is ongoing. 



SURREY RCMP’s General Investigation Unit is requesting help from the public to identify the suspect in a stabbing which occurred at Bollywood Banquet Hall located in the 8100-block of 128th Street in February.

At approximately 10:09 p.m. on February 15, Surrey RCMP responded to the banquet hall after receiving information from BC Emergency Health Services of a stabbing. The injured male was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In an effort to identify the suspect, a photo is being released to the public. At the time of this occurrence, the banquet hall was hosting an event with approximately 500 people in attendance. Investigators believe that there are people in the public who can assist this investigation.
