SURREY RCMP seized a black Ford Mustang and detained three males who were travelling in the car that had damage from at least one bullet following reports of shots fired between two vehicles in the Newton area of Surrey.
At about 8:37 p.m. on Saturday, police received several 911 calls from witnesses reporting two speeding vehicles chasing each other with shots being fired in the 12800-block of 74th Avenue and at 72nd Avenue and 130th Street. The two vehicles were described as a black Ford Mustang and a silver Honda Civic.
Police said they found evidence of several shots being fired at both locations.
Shortly after receiving the 911 calls, the RCMP located the black Ford Mustang and seized the vehicle.
Officers interviewed witnesses and canvassed the area for further information. There is no indication yet that anyone was injured.
Just prior to this incident there had been a verbal altercation between the occupants of these vehicles. It is unknown at this time if the motive is anything more than that.
