Surrey RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a 64-year-old South Asian man who’s been missing since Monday morning.
According to a statement from police, Joginder Mander was last seen by a family member Oct 7 in Guildford and has not been seen since.
On Wednesday evening RCMP recovered Mander’s abandoned car (on 176 st & 104 near Fraser River). His wallet & keys were also recovered from the car.
Mander’s family are saying there were no domestic issues and everything was fine with him till he left the house on Monday morning.
Mander is the maternal uncle of NDP candidate Avtar Bains who contested the last provincial elections from Surrey. Mander had managed most of Bains’ campaign in that election. Apart from that, Mander is a regular speaker on radio talk shows and is a prominent NDP supporter.
He was wearing a black hoodie, a white t-shirt and dark track pants and his family is really concerned for his well-being.
Mander is described as a 64-year-old South Asian male, 5’8 and weighing 170 lbs. He has brown eyes and grey hair.
