THE City of Surrey’s annual Tree Lighting Festival celebration takes place this Saturday (November 20) from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Civic Plaza.

The free community event – presented by Coast Capital – will feature live entertainment on two stages, a holiday market, photos with Santa, and the 60-foot tree lit the entire day.

Schedule:

12 p.m. – Performances begin on Main and Enchanted stages
12:50 p.m. – Santa’s welcome
1:00 p.m. – Photos with Santa begin
6 p.m. (Main Stage) – Ceremony with Mayor and Council
9 p.m. (Main Stage) – Ludic headliner performance

Additional highlights include over 20 local Surrey performers, choirs, holiday groups and children’s acts, new immersive light displays, Enchanted Eats presented by Dished, family activities, and free hot chocolate.

The Surrey Food Bank and the Surrey Christmas Bureau will be on site collecting donations.
