Surrey’s Highway 99 reopens to traffic (update)

UPDATE (6 a.m.): Highway 99 has reopened to traffic

SURREY RCMP announced at 2:59 a.m. that following a serious motor vehicle collision, they have closed the Highway 91 on ramp onto Highway 99.  All eastbound lanes of Highway 99 approaching and departing from the Highways 91/99 interchange have also been closed.  Investigators are on scene and expected to continue their work in the area for several hours, which may affect morning commuter traffic.

Earlier, however, there was a road closure because of a suspected shooting incident, according to media reports.
