ON Saturday, February 17 at 7:05 p.m., Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to a reported robbery in the 3600-block of Townline Road.

Officers located a lone male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital.

With the assistance of RCMP Air 1 Helicopter and other law enforcement partners, the victim’s vehicle was located in Coquitlam and the parties believed to be responsible have been arrested and there is believed to be no risk to the public, police said.

The Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit, with support from patrol, is in the early stages of the investigation piecing together what factors led up to the event.
