Third suspect arrested and charged in New Westminster kidnapping investigation

 “This investigation is by no means over”

 

ON the evening of April 25, New Westminster Police learned that a resident had been kidnapped.  The New Westminster Police Department’s Major Crime Unit took conduct of the investigation and received the extensive support from internal specialty units and numerous police agencies throughout the region including the RCMP, Vancouver Police Department, Metro Vancouver Transit Police, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. and the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team.

Based on evidence obtained during this rapidly unfolding investigation, two armed suspects were intercepted by police leading to the safe rescue of the hostage. Two men were arrested and charged. Both Kyle Clark Dimond and Marc Kevin Valcourt were charged with numerous offences including kidnapping with a firearm, forcible confinement, and firearms possession.

On December 9, with the assistance of the Kitimat RCMP detachment, Jordan Bullach, 29, was taken into custody and charged in connection to the kidnapping.

Bullach of Kitimat has been charged with kidnapping with a firearm and unlawful confinement.

“The New Westminster Major Crime Unit will not rest until every person involved in the planning and act of this kidnapping has been arrested and charged,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “This investigation is by no means over.”
