ABBOTSFORD Police said that at 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, their patrol officers responded to a break-and-enter in progress at a large property in the 40000-block of No. 4 Road. Officers quickly set up containment in the area. A suspect vehicle was observed attempting to flee the area, resulting in a patrol officer successfully deploying a police spike belt to de-mobilize the vehicle.

Two men were observed fleeing the vehicle on foot and were later arrested by patrol officers with the assistance of a police K9 officer. An additional man was arrested in the area. All three men remain in police custody.

Police said this investigation is in its early stages and is being supported by their Forensic Identification Unit. They thanked the residents who were patient while being impacted this morning during this investigation.

“We’re also grateful for the assistance of Chilliwack RCMP, who assisted with containment in the area during the incident,” police said.
