TORONTO: The 2015 Transformation Awards gala is set to honour leaders and innovators on Friday, June 26 at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. It will feature a red carpet reception, sumptuous dinner, world class entertainment, inspiring recipients, high profile presenters, a classy ceremony and youth from the Crossover Mentorship Program. Also known as the Diversity or Harmony awards, it was launched in 2010 to showcase success stories with focus on racial harmony and cross-cultural integration.
The 2015 recipients include Dr. Steve Gupta, President and CEO, Easton’s Group of Hotels, Innovation Award; Kevin Graff, President and CEO, Graff Retail, Leadership Award; Christine E. Williams, Vice President, Scotiabank, Heritage Award; Jeremy Diamond, Founder and Partner, Diamond & Diamond Lawyers, Enterprise Award; Scott Haldane, President and CEO, YMCA Canada, Lifetime Achievement Award; Rahul Bhardwaj, President & CEO, Toronto Community Foundation, Harmony Award; and Safia Ahmed, Executive Director, Rexdale Community Health Centre, Development Award.
Furthermore, William Onuwa, Senior Vice President, Royal Bank of Canada, receives the Professional Excellence Award; Albert Wong, Citizenship Judge and ADC to the Lieutenant Governor, Public Service Award; Paritosh Mehta, Director, Independent Productions, OMNI Television, Media Award; Ricky Veerappan, Inspector, York Regional Police, Community Service Award; and Millie Knapp, President, Knapp Media, Entertainment Award. The event is presented by Silvertrust Media, Diversity Magazine and the Transformation Institute for Leadership and Innovation.
