TTC bus driver Dhanbir Shergill, 28, of Bowmanville has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and failing to remain at the scene of a collision in connection with the December 19 hit-and-run incident in which a 14-year-old girl died.

Amaria Diljohn was reportedly crossing Neilson Road near Finch Avenue East in Toronto’s Scarborough when she was hot by a TTC bus and died on the scene.

According to police, the driver did not remain at the scene of the collision but turned himself in soon afterward, the Toronto Star reported
