VANCOUVER Police Department on Thursday released photos of two suspects in the robbery of a Vancouver senior, and are requesting assistance from the public to identify the suspects.

VPD investigators believe the two men were in the area of Commercial Drive and North Grandview Highway around 4 p.m. on April 28, when a 77-year-old man was knocked to the ground and robbed.

“This appears to be a violent and targeted attack on a vulnerable member of our community,” said Constable Steve Addison. “We would like these men to come forward, or for anyone who knows them to contact police, so we can talk about what happened.”

VPD believes two men followed the victim into a payday loan store about three blocks north of the Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain station, and watched him obtain several hundred dollars cash. The suspects allegedly followed the senior into a grocery store, pretended to shop, and knocked him to the ground after he left.
