YES, indeed, Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke is fuming because Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth decided that enough is enough and replaced the Surrey Police Board with an administrator to expedite the transitioning to a municipal police force — the Surrey Police Service — that Locke and her fellow conspirators, the RCMP, have been brazeny sabotaging every step of the way.
Now, it’s all over!
But Locke refuses to give up because it has been a petty, personal issue for her and she is desperately trying to save face, egged on by the Mounties who just want to cling on to their Surrey empire.
So now Locke has again resorted to her financial scare tactics, coming with ludicrous figures to scare Surrey residents about tax hikes. Yet she is the one responsible for mounting costs as she and the RCMP used every trick in the book to slow down the transition and harass Surrey Police Service officers.
Locke, the provincial government is NOT going to reverse the transition!
