The next SRC event sees the GreaterVancouver Zoo visiting the George Mackie Library on Friday, August 3 from 2 pm – 2:45 pm. Tickets are required and will be available for pickup beginning Friday, July 27. Find out why animals move the way they do! Meet some animal ambassadors and hear their stories. Ages 5+.
If you are attending Babytime on Thursdays between 10:30 am – 11 am, stay for Parent Time beginning at 11 am. Meet other parents, learn new parenting skills and share information and resources. Heidi J. Boomer will be here on July 26 to talk about Play Therapy. On August 2, learn about Infant/Toddler Physiotherapy and on August 9, the Health Nurse visits to answer your questions and concerns.

Learn how to download books from the library, find what you need on the library website, research and learn using the library’s computer-based services, what books you might like based on your interests, basic internet and basic computer. Love LEGO®? We provide the LEGO®; you bring your imagination! Come play, create, and experiment. LEGO® Club is a fun afternoon program for kids. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Conversation Circle: Practice Your English

If you are learning English and want to practice speaking with other people in a friendly, casual place, then join us for weekly guided discussions about Canadian culture, food and current events.
Knit & Stitch

Pack up your needles and yarn and head to the library. Knitting, crocheting, quilting and weaving are fun ways to connect across the generations. Join members of all ages and abilities to share ideas, techniques, and good conversation.
