Woman shot at Maple Ridge residence in targeted incident

RIDGE Meadows RCMP are in the early stages of an investigation into a woman being shot at a residence.

On Monday, December 5, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP received a report that a woman had been shot at a Maple Ridge residence in the 23600-block of Dewdney Trunk Road.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services.

At this time, police believe that this was a targeted incident and there are no public safety concerns to the general public. This is not related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.

Ridge Meadows Investigational Support Team, working in conjunction with the Serious Crime Unit, has conduct of the investigation.
