Youth and adult arrested for assault at New Westminster Secondary School

ON May 17 at approximately 11:20 a.m., New Westminster Police received a call for service from New Westminster Secondary School staff. Officers rushed to the school and located a youth who had been assaulted with a weapon. The victim did not require the services of BC Emergency Health Services Paramedics. After speaking with that youth and witnesses, officers located and arrested one adult and one youth.

“Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the assault to please reach out to investigators about what they saw,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “Photos and videos of what took place would be helpful for investigators.”
