IN the summer of 2021, the Coquitlam RCMP Dugs and Organized Crime Unit (DOC) initiated a proactive project called E-Nevermind, targeting several known drug traffickers working within the Tri-Cities.

In January 2023, Coquitlam RCMP with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (LMD IERT) and Ridge Meadows RCMP executed seven search warrants at four locations in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Maple Ridge. The search warrants resulted in a large seizure of drugs, money, replica firearms and vehicles.

The seized drugs included 3 kg of suspected cocaine, 2 kg of suspected methamphetamine, 426 gm of suspected MDMA, 250 gm of suspected ketamine, 1.5 kg of suspected dried psilocybin, 30 kg of suspected psilocybin edibles, 1 kg of suspected fentanyl, 1.2 kg of suspected heroin, and 73 gm of suspected W18.

Now, 64 charges have been laid against 11 individuals from Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Surrey and Vancouver. The individuals range in age from 22 to 54 years.
