VANCOUVER Police are investigating a collision in Stanley Park on Friday morning, which killed one man and sent another man to hospital.

Just after 3 a.m., the driver of a white BMW was travelling along Stanley Park Drive between Second and Third Beach, when he lost control and crashed into a tree. The 18-year-old passenger died at the scene. The driver was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators don’t believe alcohol or drug impairment contributed to the collision.
