43-year-old man identified as suspect in Surrey sexual assault

SURREY RCMP Special Victims Unit is actively working to locate a suspect identified in an ongoing investigation and is requesting the public’s assistance.

Matthew Christopher Hamm, 43, has been identified as the suspect in an ongoing investigation into an alleged break-and-enter and sexual assault that occurred on Saturday, May 21 in the 12900-block of 101A Avenue.

Hamm is described as a male, 5’10, 170lbs, with black greying curly hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a blue shirt, jeans and dark runners with white soles (see photos).

If you see Hamm, call 9-1-1 immediately and do not to approach him.
