AN alleged dangerous driver was reportedly taken into custody around 10:30 p.m. on Monday after a standoff with Surrey Police in the 3500-block of 146A Street.

There were reports that police had called in the Emergency Response Team to negotiate with him after he refused to come out of a residence.

Some witnesses called The VOICE to say that the man finally surrendered around 10:30 p.m.
