Two men arrested following collision involving mobility scooter

SURREY RCMP have arrested two men in connection with a hit and run collision which occurred on Sunday in the Guildford area.

At approximately 1:19 a.m. on April 29, two women were riding a mobility scooter, in the bike lane, eastbound in the 15900-block of Fraser Highway. The scooter was struck by a westbound vehicle which fled the scene. Both women were transported to local area hospital for medical treatment with serious, but non-life threatening injuries

A suspect vehicle was located a short distance from the site of the collision and two men were arrested. No charges have been laid as the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators believe alcohol may be a factor in this incident.
