Abbotsford Police seeking vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run

ON Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the 32600-block of Marshall Road.  A newer model SUV-type vehicle struck a 77-year-old South Asian male who was walking on the roadway. 

The pedestrian, who was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service, succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Wednesday morning. 

Abbotsford Police Department detectives would like to speak to the witnesses who stopped to render assistance and act as interpreters at the scene. 

Police are asking the driver of the vehicle to do the right thing and come forward to speak with investigators. 

Police are seeking witnesses, CCTV footage and dashcam footage to help identify the driver and vehicle involved in this hit-and-run.
