Adam Haber sentenced to three years in jail for sexual assault

IN early 2023, the New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Specialized Investigations Unit, initiated an investigation into a number of sexual offences connected to Adam Haber, who was employed by an organization offering substance use recovery services.

Eleven women came forward to provide statements to investigators. Haber was initially charged with three counts of sexual assault. On February 26, 2025, Adam Haber was convicted of two counts of sexual assault. On November 7, Haber was sentenced to three years in jail. Additionally, Haber has been added to the Sex Offender Registry for 20 years, and he must abide by court ordered weapons prohibitions.

“We’re inspired by the bravery of the women who came forward to speak to investigators about what happened to them,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “Thank you for trusting us. While the trial is over our Victim Assistance Unit is here to support you in your healing journey.”
