Beauty queen and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai inaugurated the 52nd showroom of Kalyan Jewellers in Ludhiana on Sunday.

Overwhelmed by the crowd of the fans that had gathered to catch a glimpse of the actress, Aish donned a red suit which complemented the jewellery.

Aish arrived in Ludhiana on Sunday via road from Sahnewal airport. A day earlier she had arrived in Chandigarh via flight and checked into a city hotel.

When she arrived in Ludhiana, the actress was greeted by thousands of fans on Rani Jhansi road. A barricade was erected outside the showroom to keep unruly fans at a distance.

Inaugurating the showroom, Aishwarya praised the craftsmanship in the jewellery by the brand. She also thanked thousands of her fans for their show of love and support.

“I am deeply obliged to be here. I really thank people for their love and support,” she said.

However, Aishwarya Rai’s visit was cut short because of the fan frenzy that was getting out of hand for the security personnel and police to keep in check. Some fans even followed Ash back to the Sahnewal airport.
