JASHAN Sharma, 19, and Gurmail Sandhar, 46, both of Brampton, have been arrested for a violent attack in Brampton.
Ontario’s Peel Regional Police on Tuesday announced that the two males were arrested and charged in a violent assault that has left a 44-year-old Brampton man in hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday (June 27) at approximately 12:35 a.m., the two accused males, who were known to the victim, confronted him in a dispute over property on Oaklea Boulevard, near Ray Lawson Boulevard, in Brampton. The victim attempted to run from the men and they chased him to an area behind Pauline Vanier Catholic Elementary School. The men then tied the victim’s hands and proceeded to physically assault him by repeatedly punching him and striking him with a shoe.
Police were called to the area and located the victim behind the school, suffering from serious physical trauma. He was transported by ambulance to a trauma centre in Toronto, where he remains in critical condition.
Sharma and Sandhar were arrested at the scene and have been charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement.
