DR. Faisal Khosa, a medical graduate from Pakistan who is currently working in the Department of Radiology at Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia, is the recipient of Canadian Association of Radiology / Canadian Radiology Foundation (CAR/CRF) Leadership Scholarship 2017.
Dr. Khosa has received numerous educational, clinical service and research awards in his distinguished career. His team received the “Outstanding Support Award” by Vancouver General Hospital Trauma Program in 2016.
He received the American Roentgen Ray Scholarship (2013-2016), the Outstanding Young Investigator Award in USA (2015) and the One in One Hundred Mentor Award (2014). He also received the Scientific Research Award at Harvard University in 2010.
He was awarded the “Medal of Excellence” (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz) from the Government of Pakistan and The College of Physicians and Surgeons Award for 15 years of “Outstanding Service to Medicine” in Pakistan.
Faisal is board certified in radiology in USA, Canada and Europe and has completed extensive training in radiology, including a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in Ireland. He completed the IMG Alternate Pathway – Diagnostic Radiology Certification for U.S and Canada, which included clinical fellowships in Oncoradiology, Cardiovascular Imaging, Emergency Radiology, Body MRI and Neuroradiology at Harvard Medical School. He subsequently received a scholarship for an MBA in which Leadership was his major.
Faisal serves as a faculty speaker at the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Society of Emergency Radiology, Royal College in UK and the Arab Health Congress in Middle East, and is an invited speaker at universities all over the world.
He is passionate about serving and giving back and his mentoring has benefited more than 1,000 students and trainees from all over the world.
