UNIVERSITY RCMP are seeking witnesses following an attempted robbery on the University of British Columbia campus on Wednesday afternoon.

On June 12, at 1:34 p.m., University RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon near the Rose Garden parkade located in the 6200-block of Northwest Marine Drive. Officers located the victim who was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was not located. Initial information is that there was an attempted robbery which led to an altercation in which one person was injured.

Investigators remain in the area canvassing for witnesses and video. Anyone with information is asked to contact University RCMP at 604-224-1322.
