BURNABY RCMP on Monday released a suspect’s sketch in the hopes the public can assist in identifying him in a sexual assault that occurred in Central Park.
On February 19 at 11 a.m., the female victim, who is in her 80s, was walking through a trail when she was approached by an unknown man. The suspect groped the victim and attempted to kiss her.
The victim was not injured and no similar incidents have been reported.
“Despite our ongoing investigation, so far a suspect has not been identified in this incident. We are now releasing a suspect sketch and appealing to the public for assistance,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP. “Please reach out to our investigators if you can help identity the suspect.”
The suspect is described as:
- 40-45 years old
- Short, thick black hair
- Groomed one- to two-inch-long beard
- Medium skin tone
- Middle Eastern accent
The suspect was wearing:
- Grey nylon jacket
- Black pants
- Black shoes
