ON Tuesday, April 1 at approximately 12:20 p.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at Lougheed Highway and Production Way in North Burnaby. It was reported that the collision involved four vehicles and a pedestrian.

The intersection has been shut down in all directions. Three vehicle occupants were transported to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries. The pedestrian was also transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Burnaby RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area, as the intersection will likely be closed into the evening hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
