TWO men have been charged following a drug trafficking investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) resulting in a significant seizure of drugs, cash and a firearm.
In early 2023, CFSEU-BC investigators launched a drug trafficking investigation into the activities of an organized crime group operating in the Lower Mainland. This led to the execution of three residential search warrants and the seizure of the following items:
• 28 kilograms of methamphetamine
• 2 kilograms of MDMA
• 850 grams of ketamine
• 729 grams of cocaine
• 362 grams of fentanyl
• 5 kilograms of cannabis
• 3 kilograms of cannabis concentrate
• A 9 mm firearm and ammunition
• Four vehicles
• $100,000 in CAD and $1,000 USD
• 2 high-end watches
• A drug press
On February 27, 2024, two individuals were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. On May 13, 2025, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) approved multiple charges in connection to this investigation.
Phi Hoang Nguyen, a 32-year-old male from Burnaby, is charged with the following offences:
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine and ketamine
• Possession of a loaded or restricted firearm
• Altering, defacing or removing firearm serial number
Jayson Vu, a 29-year-old male from New Westminster, is charged with the following offences:
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine and ketamine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking ketamine
Arrest warrants were issued for Nguyen and Vu. The CFSEU-BC is requesting the public’s assistance in locating these individuals. If you have information on their whereabouts, you are requested to contact your local police or Crime Stoppers.

The EDIV RCMP Clandestine Lab Enforcement and Response Team (CLEAR), the RCMP Burnaby Gang Enforcement Team, and the Vancouver Police Department Gang Crime Unit assisted in the investigation.
