THE 2018 Vancouver Police Dogs Calendar is now on sale and features the four-legged members of the Vancouver Police Department Canine Unit posing for pictures in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown in celebration of the “Year of the Dog” in the Chinese calendar.
The calendar is funded and produced by the Candy Anfield Memorial Foundation, which was created by retired VPD Sergeant Mike Anfield in honour of his wife Candy, a VPD officer who lost her valiant battle with breast cancer in 2004.
The cost of each calendar is $15, and all of the money raised goes to the BC Cancer Foundation and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Last year, the calendar raised $26,000, bringing the total raised to $150,000.
The stars of the calendar, along with their handlers, will be on hand for a sidewalk sale in the coming weeks, selling calendars and meeting the public. Watch the VPD’s social media channels for the date and location. (Twitter | |Facebook | @VPDCanine)
