Open houses on January 21, January 24 and January 25

REGISTRATION for the City of Surrey’s 2023/2024 licensed preschool program, for children ages 3-5, will open next month.

Registration for all locations will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will take place on:

* February 7 for Fleetwood, Guildford and Fraser Heights

* February 8 for Cloverdale, Whalley and Nature Preschool

* February 9 for South Surrey and Newton

Beginning in September 2023 and ending in June 2024, the year-long, play-based curriculum provides parents with an affordable opportunity to support their child’s healthy growth and development during their early years, according to the City.

The program’s experienced educators deliver a personalized learning experience, guided by the BC Early Learning Framework, with a focus on creativity, imagination, language, literacy, confidence and independence.

The popular program was most recently voted ‘Best Preschool’–as part of Westcoast Families’ ‘2022 Family Favourites’ list–and recognized in the Dec/Jan 2023 issue of their monthly magazine for the accomplishment.

“Social interaction is critical for a child’s healthy development, especially during their early years. We’re very pleased to offer to a safe and nurturing environment for children through our world-class preschool program.” said Alex Kincek, Community Service Coordinator, Parks Recreation and Culture at the City of Surrey.

Open houses will be held at various City of Surrey preschool locations to learn more about the program, view the space, meet instructors, and ask questions about your child’s education plan. They’ll take place on January 21, January 24 and January 25.
