Delta Police launches online reporting

DELTA Police has launched online reporting – accessible through the front page of or directly at

“Online reporting provides another way for anyone to report an incident that happened in Delta, or on the Tsawwassen First Nation,” said Inspector Ciaran Feenan, head of front line patrol at Delta Police, on Thursday. “Property damage, fraud under $5,000, or reporting a traffic incident are all examples of things that can be reported online now.”

General community concerns can be reported via these means as well.

“Our department is known for its No Call Too Small approach, and we hope online reporting will make it more convenient for people to let our officers know about those little things,” said Feenan.

The public can also call 604-946-4411.

“It’s important to stress that online reporting isn’t meant for emergencies, or reporting crimes in progress,” noted Feenan.

From 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, online reports will go directly to on-duty staff, who will assess them and determine the next steps. When reporting overnight, the report may not be reviewed until the next day. Once your online report has been submitted, Delta Police will contact you within the next 24 hours.

The online forms requests basic information such as email address and date of birth. Police will need to know the date and location of the incident, or details such as the license plates of vehicles involved. The whole process will take up to 15 minutes, and is mobile friendly.

At this time the online reporting system is not configured to accept videos or photos directly. Those will need to be provided to an officer, assigned to the file.
