JUST after 5 a.m. on July 17, Langley RCMP responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision in the 19800-block of 80 Avenue.

An SUV was travelling east on 80 Avenue when it lost control and struck a tree. The subsequent collision resulted in the driver being ejected and the SUV sustaining significant damage, leaving debris across the entire roadway.

The driver, who has yet to be identified, succumbed at the scene to the injuries sustained.

Initial investigation has identified a related collision scene at 192 Street and 80 Avenue. The SUV struck a road sign at this location and continued to travel east on 80 Avenue to the second collision in the 19800-block.
